This GT-R, built by Extreme Turbo Systems, is a fully stripped out race car, with no interior, a full roll cage, and huge drag radials out back. The car is making 3,000(!) horsepower, and as you'll see, is very fast in a straight line. English Racing entered the car in the Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack half-mile competition last weekend with the goal of eclipsing the 244 mph top speed it set with the car at a previous event. In it's fastest run, the GT-R was able to achieve a top speed of 255.53 mph, beating out the previous record of 250.2 mph set by a Lamborghini Huracan last month.FASTEST GTR IN THE WORLD! - NEW WORLD RECORD!

TESTING THE WATERS WITH ALPHA G On this track outing the plan was simple… walk up power slowly and see how she reacted. Being a fresh build with only a few passes on it since completion and a car with so much power on tap, we made careful experimentation of how much power the track can take. The first handful of runs the AMS tuners worked diligently on collecting and analyzing data. Each time learning something new and fixing the next small issue the previous run had revealed. The crew constantly monitoring and making small chassis and suspension tweaks.

We finally have a 6-second GT-R (and the first all-wheel drive car to ever dip below 7-seconds in the 1/4-mile).
One of the big time players in turbo modification, AMS performance, and one of the most talented owner/drivers (Gideon “Gidi” Chamdi) on the circuit collaborated in this long-time endeavor that finally came into fruition during last weekend’s TX2K17.

Gidi’s Nissan, known as the Alpha G, uses a unique turbocharger setup that relocates the forced air induction to a lower point in the engine bay. This affords the design scheme more space for even bigger turbos. This car is capable of producing between 2,000 and 3,000hp (depending upon the level of boost). On this historic weekend it would take more than boost to claim a world record. How about three engines? That’s what Gidi and the crew went through (a ton of money, hard work, and time) before posting a 6.93-second pass @ 196 mph. This is an owner and a dedicated team that is full of passion and emotion. Thanks for the memories guys!
