We finally have a 6-second GT-R (and the first all-wheel drive car to ever dip below 7-seconds in the 1/4-mile).
One of the big time players in turbo modification, AMS performance, and one of the most talented owner/drivers (Gideon “Gidi” Chamdi) on the circuit collaborated in this long-time endeavor that finally came into fruition during last weekend’s TX2K17.

Gidi’s Nissan, known as the Alpha G, uses a unique turbocharger setup that relocates the forced air induction to a lower point in the engine bay. This affords the design scheme more space for even bigger turbos. This car is capable of producing between 2,000 and 3,000hp (depending upon the level of boost). On this historic weekend it would take more than boost to claim a world record. How about three engines? That’s what Gidi and the crew went through (a ton of money, hard work, and time) before posting a 6.93-second pass @ 196 mph. This is an owner and a dedicated team that is full of passion and emotion. Thanks for the memories guys! |
